Jumper Cables Become Socketed Tinker Modules in Dragonflight

We've also found Tinker: Always Malfunction in the data, though it isn't found in the Engineering profession tab... and we're not sure why you'd want it anyway!

Comment by barbasolLove seeing the old Goblin Rocket Helmet come back in the form of Supercollide-O-Tron. Not sure I like having to pick only 2 effects, but hey maybe that will be better than the assortment of mostly useless items we usually get.

BUT... THEY BETTER NOT BE TAKING AWAY MY GOBLIN GLIDER, NITRO BOOSTS AND LOOT-A-RANG. These better not take up a "slot" and can still be used. I personally find them ESSENTIAL. They add so much to gameplay and have been mainstays for years. It sucked hard when we had that legendary cloak in BFA that couldn't get the gliders for instance.

Can anyone confirm if they still work?

So now we can't use these things unless we have an engineering item with a socket, and we don't have that until we manage to level engineering up high enough to make it. And then later on in the expansion, like in all expansions, we'll get gear better than the stuff we can make with sockets and we'll lose access to this stuff again.

Basically, jumper cables will now be DF only and only for a brief part of DF. Massive nerf to the profession. It's exactly like when they nerfed the Waterstrider mount and then gave us "inflatable mount shoes".... plus a couple of other choices to tempt us to give up being able to walk on water.

Can anyone confirm if they still work? Comment by barbasolAll the old tinkers and LAR still work on beta. I would actually quit the game if they broke LAR.Not certain about the loot-a-rang but the other two still work, they continue to work as regular tinkers, and are not tinker modules.

I'm not going to be able to brez anymore without wearing very specific pieces of crafted gear that may or may not be better than drops I get?Comment by SeniaaSo not only are you stuck with using crafted gear, but you are REALLY stuck with crafted bracers since locking a tier slot down (helmet) is suicide early into a patch.
